Pilkington Conceptual Thermal Glass House

A conceptual competition entry to design a house using recycled glass as thermal mass in solid transparent walls in order to collect heat in the day time and redistribute it during the evening. Thermal computer analysis showed that in the winter thermal comfort evened out without additional heating. In summer internal temperatures followed external temperatures and were damped at higher external temperatures.
